Description

Oak Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and are weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof. The cottages feature two symmetrically placed red brick chimney stacks and rise to two storeys. Each cottage has a two-window arrangement with small paned vertically sliding sashes, which are adorned with pentice boards above. The doors on the right and left are two-panel, two-light designs with moulded surrounds. A central plaque from the "Royal" Insurance is also present.
