Description
This cartlodge, located approximately 50 metres west of Elms Farmhouse, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a half hipped thatched roof. The building consists of three bays and has an outshot at the rear. The roof is supported by side purlins, and it includes mainly arched braces to the tie beams, with some hanging knees. The cartlodge is part of a picturesque grouping with an adjacent granary.
