Description
Lawn's Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a hipped red plain tiled roof that features gablets. There is a lower level extension on the right side and an outshot extension at the front right. The house has red brick chimney stacks located to the right of the main range and the right extension. It stands two storeys tall, with one three-light window on the first floor and a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor. A panelled door is situated to the left. Inside, the heavy timber framing is prominently visible. The roof, which is not easily viewable, appears to be of side purlin construction and includes heavy unsooted medieval timber.
