Description
Wren Park Farmhouse is a house dating from the 15th or 16th century, with later alterations and additions, including a 20th-century two-storey gabled stair turret. The building is timber framed and rendered, topped with red plain tiled roofs. It features an off-centre right red brick chimney stack. The farmhouse is two storeys tall, with a one-storey and attic extension to the left that has a catslide dormer. The first floor has a window range of one, one, one, and one, while the ground floor has a range of two or three light leaded casements in the arrangement of one, two, zero, and one. There is a 20th-century four-panel two-light door leading to the stair turret and a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch to the left. Inside, notable features include a 15th or 16th-century chamfered brick inglenook fireplace with a slightly cambered mantel beam above, stop-chamfered bridging joists, jowled storey posts, three original board doors with ironmongery, and several 18th-century doors with ironmongery.
