Description
Dagnets Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with possible earlier origins and alterations made in the 18th century and later. It is constructed of timber framing with a plastered exterior and features a half hipped red plain tiled roof. The house has external red brick chimney stacks located off centre on both the left and right sides. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a four-window range consisting of two or three light leaded casements. The entrance, located slightly off centre to the right, features a four-panel, two-light door set in a moulded surround with brackets supporting a pediment. At the rear, there is an extension wing. Inside, some structural elements such as side girts, top plates, and certain storey posts are visible, along with bridging and ceiling joists. One bay of the house appears to be from an earlier construction phase. The farmhouse is situated on a moated site.
