Description
Poplar Grove Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring batten decoration. The roof is red plain tiled and has two levels, with a half hip to the left and three terracotta finials. There are two square attached red brick chimney stacks, one at the left level and one at the right level. The building has two storeys and attics, with a six-window range of 18th century and later small paned vertically sliding sash windows. The entrance features an 18th century four-panelled two-light door, flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals and bases, and a moulded frieze and pediment above. At the rear, there is an 18th century hipped red tiled porch with a six-panelled door and a moulded surround. Above the two-storeyed bay on the east return, there is a round-headed attic window.
