Description

Appletree Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and additions in the 18th century and later. It is timber-framed and panel-pargetted, with a red plain tiled roof and a moulded eaves cornice. The house has red brick chimney stacks to the left and right. The two-storey facade has a three-window range of vertically sliding sash windows of varying size. The central entrance features an 8-panelled door with moulded capitals and bases to the pilasters, a moulded frieze, and a pediment with dentilled soffits, approached by three steps. There is a lower, windowless extension to the right.
