Description

Clare Cottage and Kerry Cottage are two dwellings that were originally a single cottage, dating from the 17th or 18th century or possibly earlier, with later alterations. The building is timber framed and has panel plastering. It features a red plain tiled roof with some striation and three grey slate catslide dormers. There is a red brick chimney stack on the left side. The cottage is one storey high with attics and has a three-window range of vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars, along with pentice boards above. To the right, there is a small bay shop window. The central and left return sections have four-panelled doors, also with pentice boards above. There is some confusion regarding the previous listing, which referred to Clare Cottage but described No. 7.
