Description

These are two former houses and shops, now used as two dwellings, with a core dating back to the 17th century or earlier, and altered in the 18th century and later. The building is timber framed and has been plastered, with a red plain tiled roof and a central chimney stack made of red brick. The two storeys have a four-window range on the first floor, featuring small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. On the ground floor, the left side has a six-panelled door in a moulded surround, with double carved brackets supporting a flat canopy approached by steps. A bay window with small-paned casements is positioned alongside a small-paned vertically sliding sash window, with a four-panelled door placed between them, also with a moulded surround and canopy and approached by steps. To the right of the bay window is a central, small-paned double bow window with a six-panelled door between, flanked by small-paned vertically sliding sashes and a three-light shop window. A boarded door leads to a side passage far to the right. A post box is located centrally.
