Description

Two houses, built around 1800, and now operating as two shops. The buildings have undergone alterations in the late 19th century and late 20th century. They are constructed of brick and feature a hipped pantile roof with two side wall stacks and one ridge stack. A moulded wooden gutter is supported by brackets. The two-storey buildings have an attic and a three-window facade, with canted wooden bay windows featuring brick bases and 12-pane sashes. The ground floor has a pair of late 19th-century wooden shop fronts with reeded pilasters, curved brackets, and a cornice. The left-hand shop has a four-light wooden mullion window. The right-hand shop features a splayed glazed recess with a late 20th-century glazed door, overlight, and canopy, flanked by a three-light wooden mullion window. To the right again is an early 19th-century wooden doorcase with paterae, a panelled recess, a six-panelled door, and an overlight. The left return showcases a 16-pane sash window and a dormer window above. Below the sash window are two blocked windows, flanked to the left by an altered doorway.
