Description
Alderford Grange is a house with an 18th-century facade and 16th-century origins, featuring later alterations and additions. It has a timber-framed structure with a painted brick facade and a red tiled roof that has a gable on the left side. The house is two storeys tall with a cellar and has a parapet. There are five windows across the front, with a single window on the left gable, mostly consisting of small-paned vertically sliding sashes set in moulded surrounds. The central entrance has a six-panelled door flanked by two lights and topped with a semi-circular light that has traceried glazing bars. The porch is flat-headed with dentils and supported by two columns with capitals and bases. Inside, the house features chamfered ceiling beams, vertically sliding shutters on all windows, and a staircase with stick balusters and a wreathed handrail, topped by a domed light.
