Description
The Swan Inn is a public house dating from the 15th century, with a half H-plan layout and alterations and additions from the 17th century and later. The building features a 19th-century brick facing over a timber frame and has a hipped grey slate roof. It is two storeys high and has three light small paned vertically sliding sash windows arranged in a four-window range, with gauged brick arches above them. There are six-panelled doors on the right and left, set in recessed arches with semi-circular brick arches above. Inside, it is said to contain moulded ceiling beams and wall plates, as well as a crown post roof at the north end. The building also has wings at the rear.
