Description
Easthall Farmhouse is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the 15th century or earlier, with a rear range added in the 20th century. The building is timber framed and rough rendered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that is hipped and features a gablet on the right side, which was formerly jettied. There is an off-centre red brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and has a four-window range of 19th-century style three and four-light casements with central transoms. There are central and left side 20th-century porch extensions. Inside the right cottage, there are original features including a segmental door head on the rear wall, halved arch bracing on the walls, an arched brace on the first-floor tie beam, and mortices for similar former ground floor braces. Access to the left (west) cottage was not available at the time of the re-survey.
