GV II

House, now 2 dwellings. C16, extended C17, altered C20. Timber frame, roughcast and brick faced. Steeply pitched machine tiled and pantiled roof. Probably a small 2 bay open hall originally with a slightly taller 3 bay parlour and lobby entry addition to left. All 2 storeys now. Entrances to far right of each section, C20 casements. Axial ridge stack to right end of addition. Internal left end stack, rebuilt. Left gable end retains a shaped bracket to formerly jettied gable. Right gable end brick faced in C20., Interior: right hand cottage has an inserted floor and a cambered tie beam, frame largely concealed and altered. Left hand cottage not inspected.
