Description
This building is a barn dating from the 17th century, with a later added loft floor. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a red plain tiled roof. The barn features a central gabled midstrey facing the farmyard, which includes an upper window with four lights. Similar windows are present on the side facing the road. The structure is now two storeys high and consists of five bays. It has through bracing in the walls, jowled storey posts, and arched braces supporting the tie beams, along with some inserted hanging knees. The roof is constructed with double joggled side purlins and collars to the principal rafters. This barn is a good example of its type and is part of the farmyard complex.
