Description
The General Stores and Homestead is a shop and attached cottage with early 18th century features. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof. There is a red brick chimney stack on the right and a square attached rear chimney stack. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a five-window range on the first floor with three-light casements and transoms to the centre lights. The ground floor also has a five-window range, which includes a 19th century bay shop window with glazing bars and casements with transoms. There is a 20th century shop door with a top light and a pentice board above it. To the right, there are two doors, one of which is a 20th century glazed door, while the far right door has two panels and two lights with a moulded surround and a pentice board above. The small rear wings include a bake house, and there is a single-storey, weatherboarded extension with a red pantiled roof to the left.
