Description

39 Market Hill is a house that was once a shop, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted English-bond brick and features a flat roof behind a parapet. The building has three storeys and a one-window range, with a two-storey flat-roofed curved extension at the rear. On the first and second floors, there is a 12-pane sash window. The ground floor has a 19th-century shop front, which includes a hood and fascia supported by three plain pilasters, surrounding a four-light window and a former door that has been converted into a window. The north-east flank has an attached chimney stack and a mix of 19th-century and 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
