Description

This is a house dating from the early 19th century, located on Market Hill in Maldon. The exterior is characterised by painted Flemish-bond brickwork and a double-gabled roof covered in asbestos slate, with a ridgeline stack positioned at the north-east end. The two-storey facade has a three-window arrangement, with a slightly recessed bay on the south-west side. The first floor features three sash windows, each with moulded surrounds, single vertical glazing bars, and rubbed brick flat arches. The ground floor includes a carriage arch with a segmental-curved lintel soffit, a doorway with a semicircular head containing a plain fanlight, and a door with six raised-and-fielded panels. A tripartite sash window with a central vertical glazing bar is located at the north-east end of the front facade. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
