Description

This barn, located approximately 10 metres north of Sain's Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and features a later re-roof and a right-side addition. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather-boarded, topped with a corrugated iron-clad roof. The barn has front and rear midstreys, a left lean-to, and a right lower range that was formerly used as byres, which still contains some original stalls and troughs along with a drained floor. The main barn consists of four bays and has a side purlin roof that is partly pegged and partly features a ridge board, with through bracing visible in the walls.
