Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres northeast of Moor's Farmhouse, dates from the 17th or 18th century or possibly earlier. It features a timber frame with plastered walls and a brick plinth, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. On the left side, there is a central midstrey outshot, with later red pantiled lean-to extensions added to both the left and right of the midstrey. The barn has halved double vertically boarded doors at the midstrey entrance and consists of five bays. Inside, there are hanging knees supporting the tie beams and through bracing on the walls. The roof, which has been partially restored, is pegged and includes a ridge board. The threshing floor is made of stone and features a halved and bladed top plate scarf.
