Description
Teal Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, with a single-storey extension added in the 20th century to the left. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled gambrel roof. It features two red brick chimney stacks, with the one on the left having square attached shafts. The cottage has one storey and attics, with two gabled dormers and two double two-light small paned casements on the ground floor. To the right, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door with a side light, and a lean-to extension. Inside, there is through bracing to the walls and some original vertically boarded doors with ironmongery. Teal Cottage was originally part of Leakins Farm, which was a villien's 30-acre holding from the medieval period.
