Description
Appleford Bridge Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, with an earlier origin and a 20th-century extension to the right. It features a timber frame with plaster and a red plain tiled gambrel roof, which includes gabled dormers at both the front and rear. The cottage has two red brick chimney stacks and is one storey high with attics. There are two small paned casement windows. The matching 20th-century extension also has a gambrel roof and a gabled dormer, along with a plank and muntin door that has leaded sidelights. Inside, some of the original frame is exposed, showcasing stop-chamfered bridging joists.
