Description
Lake Lodge is a lodge or summerhouse dating from the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a grey slate roof that is hipped to the east and south. The building has a single storey and is designed in an L-plan. The east range has two bays with a central pilaster and two casement windows that include glazing bars. There is a central panelled door, with moulded capitals and bases on the fluted pilasters, and a patera on the frieze. Above the door, there is a moulded flat canopy. The south range has a matching casement window on the return.
On the lakeside, the building features small-paned French windows with full-length side lights, and a verandah that overhangs the lake. The verandah is supported by vase on ball balusters and timber supports for the flat canopy. Lake Lodge is located at the western end of the lake and was likely used as a Fishing Lodge. Although it has been altered, it is part of a group of lakeside listings.
