Description
This is a pump located in the stable courtyard of Braxted Park, dating from the early 19th century. It is enclosed in vertically boarded casing and features a down-curved iron handle topped with a ball finial. The central moulded metal panel is decorated with an upswept scallop and leaf sprays, along with eight pointed corner stars and a central spout. Twisted iron rods are attached to the left and right of the panel, supporting the spout and forming a bucket hook.
