Description
This bridge, dating from the 18th century to early 19th century, crosses the lake to the south of Braxted Park House. It is constructed of stone, stucco, and gault brick. The west face features gault brick end pilasters and inner bays, with a moulded cornice above. The centre section is rusticated and includes a rusticated arch with a keystone, also topped with a moulded cornice. The parapet has moulded coping and three panels of vase balusters. A tunnel runs under the Lime Avenue on the east face. The water level is higher on this side, flowing into a semi-circular overflow basin located to the right and left of the central parapet panel, which is similar to the east face.
