Description

No. 1 Entrance Lodge, Nookery is an entrance lodge built around 1828. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped grey slate roof along with two red brick chimney stacks. The lodge is a single storey building with a two-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes that have gauged brick arches. The central doors include top lights and are topped with segmental arches, facing both the road and the avenue. This lodge is one of four lodge cottages that serve the main entrance to Braxted Park.
