Description
Kelvedon Lodge is a lodge cottage built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a red pantiled roof. On the left side, there is a red brick chimney stack with two shafts that are arched and support a pediment. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice and a central band. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, with the left bay breaking forward. The lodge has a two-window range of vertically sliding sashes and a board door with a top light, accompanied by a flat canopy on brackets to the right. This lodge is located inside the wall that encloses Braxted Park and is adjacent to the entrance gates.
