Description
Sumner's Farmhouse is a 17th-century house located on Parsloe Road. It is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys. The main wing consists of four bays, while the smaller wing has three bays, both of which are timber framed and plastered. The roofs are peg-tiled and gabled, with a hipped return.
On the main wing, there is a range of four sash windows on the first storey and three sash windows along with a front door that features a modern porch on the ground storey. The smaller wing has two sash windows on each storey. Each wing has a central chimney stack. At the rear of the main wing, there is a one-storey lean-to and two two-storey gables, which are adjacent to a parallel single-storey brick outbuilding.
