Description
Greenacres is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring a two-bay wing on the southwest that may have originally been L-shaped, although the rear wing has been altered. There is also a 20th-century wing at the back, creating a U-shaped layout. The 17th-century wing is timber framed with whitewashed plaster infill on the ground floor and brick infill on the first floor, along with a whitewashed plastered plinth. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a rebuilt brick chimney at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The first floor has paired leaded casement windows from the 20th century, while the ground floor features two paired casements and a central horizontal sliding sash window, which is partly leaded. A 20th-century door is located to the right within a gabled rustic porch that retains some remnants of a thatched roof. To the right, there is a lean-to with paired leaded casements. The northwest front has three bays, with the outer bays featuring gables adorned with bargeboards. The left bay is constructed of brick, while the centre bay combines brick and whitewashed render. Inside the 17th-century wing, there is a moulded spine beam.
