Description

Orchard Farmhouse is a house with a 17th-century wing at the rear, extended to the south in the early to mid-19th century. The rear wing has a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and an old tile roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with 20th-century leaded 2 and 3-light casement windows. There are flanking doors, with one located within a small gabled projection on the right side. A lean-to addition is present on the left.

The taller, 19th-century bay to the right is constructed of whitewashed brick and features barred horizontal sliding sashes with cambered heads. The gable of the front wing, set back on the far right, has matching sashes and a lean-to porch. The front wing itself is of whitewashed brick, with an old tile roof and flanking brick chimneys. It is also two storeys high and has three bays, with 3-pane sashes and cambered heads, and louvred shutters. The ground floor of the centre bay features a barred wooden window with a semi-circular fanlight, which likely replaced a door. A lean-to conservatory from the 20th century is located on the right.
