Description
Sparrow Thatch is a house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered and extended on the left side in the 19th century. The original 17th-century section features some timber framing that is now covered with colourwashed render, with a post exposed at the front right corner. It has a thatched roof with rendered chimneys located to the right and between the left bays. The house is 1½ storeys tall and consists of three bays. It has 3-light leaded casement windows, mostly from the 20th century, with additional single lights to the right of the outer bays. The left window on the first floor is positioned below the eaves, while two windows to the right are set into the thatch. There is a 20th-century board door located in a 20th-century porch that has a hipped thatch roof, situated between the right bays. The 19th-century extension on the left is made of whitewashed render with a dark tiled roof and a rendered chimney on the left. It features barred wooden casements, with one on the first floor and two on the ground floor. The interior has not been seen.
