Description

Appletree Cottage is a house that probably dates from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with exposed studs on the first storey. The roof is gabled and thatched, featuring two plain red brick chimney shafts positioned closely together near the center. The cottage has two gabled dormers with leaded casements, and there is a modern gabled porch on the ground storey, flanked by sets of three leaded casements on either side. Additionally, there is a one-bay extension on the right, which was added to the original two-bay plan.
