Description
Black Cat is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is timber framed and plastered, consisting of one storey with attics. The roof is gabled and thatched, featuring a thatched lean-to at the southwest end. There is a central lean-to porch with a thatched roof supported by old oak posts. The front roof slope has three gabled dormers, and there is a very small red brick stack located off centre on the ridge line, along with a large modern brick stack at the rear. The windows are modern leaded light casements.
