Description

This barn, located southeast of Little Laver Grange, dates back to the early 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is covered with weatherboarding and a grey asbestos roof. The barn features two gabled midstreys on the west side and spans seven bays in length. It has jowled posts with arch braced tie beams and a substantial queen strut roof. The top plate has halved and bladed scarfs. The south midstreys are original, while the north midstreys were added in the 18th century. There are lean-to extensions on the west side.
