Description
Leaders Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1600. It has two storeys and features a timber-framed and plastered baffle entry plan. The roof is half hipped and covered with peg tiles, and there is an off-centre contemporary concertina stack with angled shafts. On the southeast corner, there is a gabled service block extension, and at the west end, there is a gabled and jettied peg-tiled roof extension. The windows are modern leaded light casements. Inside, some of the timber frame is partially exposed, and the main stack includes an original brick arched opening on the ground floor, along with a plaster-coated four-centre arched solar fireplace that has double chamfered jambs and pargetted decoration on the overmantel. There is also a pump and well located in the yard.
