Description
Tudor Lodge is a house dating from around 1600, constructed with a timber frame and featuring an exposed frame and a half hipped peg tile roof. It has a large stack positioned in a baffle entry, located off-centre along the ridge line. There are later extensions at the southwest end and on the north flank. The windows are 19th-century casements, each fitted with a single horizontal glazing bar. The house has a close studded design, is unjettied, and consists of three bays plus a stack bay. It features straight, low-mounted internal wall bracing and jowled posts. The structure includes halved and bladed scarf joints, and some of the original floors have been raised to improve headroom. Additionally, part of the original 17th-century inglenook stack has been rebuilt.
