Description

The barn at Waterman's Cottage is a mid-17th century structure, built with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a thatched roof. The south wall features 20th-century stable doors. On the north side, there is a late 18th-century midstrey, and a late 18th-century lean-to extension at the north-west, which now has an asbestos roof and a 20th-century garage door. Inside, the barn has arch braced tiebeams and a side purlin roof with intermittent collars, as well as halved and bladed top plate scarfs.
