Description
Waterman's End Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that features a timber-framed and plastered structure topped with a red plain tile gambrel roof. The building has one storey and attics, with a 20th-century crosswing added to the south end, which is two storeys high and jettied, also with a red plain tile roof. The cottage has two ranges of windows, consisting of 20th-century casements and one 19th-century bay window. A gabled porch and two gabled dormer windows enhance its charm. The end walls are marked by red brick chimney stacks, and there is a lean-to extension at the rear, also covered with a red plain tile roof. Inside, some original framing is visible, along with large stop-chamfered bridging joists.
