Description

Waterman's End House is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with weatherboarded sides and a hipped red plain tile roof on the south side. The house has two storeys and features a three-window range. The first floor has 20th-century casements, while the ground floor includes 19th-century canted bays with vertical sliding sashes. A 19th-century gabled porch with bargeboards and plaster relief depicts Little Laver Mill and the initials WHP from 1866. The north end of the house displays decorative bargeboards with a pendant and finial. There are later extensions at the rear, which may incorporate the original staircase tower, and these have red plain tile roofs, one of which is gambrel.
