Description
The barn located to the west of Smithy Cottage is a late 17th century or early 18th century structure. It is timber framed and weather-boarded, consisting of three bays with a brick plinth and an old tile roof. There is a wagon entry in the right-hand bay, which features a gabled porch to the south. The barn has a double purlin roof supported by queen strut trusses and curved tie beam braces. Adjacent to the barn is a two-bay stable, built in the late 18th century. This stable is also timber framed, weather-boarded, and has an old tile roof, with stable doors facing south.
