Description

This barn, located approximately 30 meters southwest of Daubneys Farmhouse, dates back to around 1600. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The structure consists of five bays arranged roughly northwest to southeast, with an aisle on the southwest side only. The barn features half-hipped ends, jowled posts, and arched braces connecting the posts to the tiebeams and arcade plate. Inside, there are Kentish shores in the aisle, a queen strut roof, clasped purlins, and face-halved and bladed scarfs.
