Description

Little Thatches is a cottage dating from the 18th century, which was extended in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with plastered walls and a thatched roof. The building has two bays aligned approximately north to south, with stacks located at the south end and the rear north end of the east side. There is a lean-to extension at the north end of the west side. The cottage is a single storey with attics and has a half-hipped roof at both ends. The north elevation, which faces the street, has one 20th-century casement window on each floor. Inside, the framing is exposed, showcasing primary straight bracing and a clasped purlin roof. The entire building was raised on new foundations around 1970.
