Description

The Old House is a 16th century timber-framed and plastered house located on Hall Road in Mount Bures. It has two storeys and features a jettied front wall. The central front door is situated on the ground floor, accompanied by a pair of 6-pane sliding sash windows on the left. The first storey has a wide, much altered window in the center and another pair of 6-pane sliding sash windows at the right end. The roof is ridged, gabled on the left side, and hipped on the right. A red brick chimney stack with three sloping steps is positioned against the gabled end. The building has seen little alteration over the years.
