Description

The Hall is a 16th-century house with a timber frame, which is integrated into a complex plan behind 18th and 19th-century facades. The west front is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring three bays and two storeys, with a projecting band at the first floor. The ground storey has hornless sash windows with six panes, mullions, and margin sashes, all set beneath straight gauged brick arches, with a blind recess in the centre. The first storey contains three pairs of sash windows with curved gauged heads. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, supported by three red brick chimney stacks. There are numerous extensions, including two to the north that feature sham timbers on the exterior.
