Description

WIVENHOE HIGH STREET 1. 5214 (west side) No 103 (Messrs Farraini Construction and Cosira) Wivenhoe Hall Cottage TM 02 SW 13/48 23.7.73 II 2. C18, on rectangular plan with tetrastyle Ionic portico placed before a semi-hexagonal recess. Four Ionic columns stuccoed, and 2 pilasters. Carcase of red brick in Flemish- bond with false joints. Brick dentilled eaves-band and a hipped roof clad in machine-made tiles. Central crest to moulded entablature and pediment. Two round-headed niches, one each side of portico with a door between them in a round-headed recess with moulded architrave and swan-necked scrolls over.
