Description
This is a terrace of five early to mid-19th century houses located on Wivenhoe High Street. The terrace was altered in the 20th century, particularly at the rear. The houses are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with slate roofs. The terrace has a gabled roof, a brick stack at one end and a central ridge stack topped with pots, and overhanging eaves. A moulded brick arch provides vehicular access to the rear of the properties. To the left of the arch is a hornless 6-over-6 sash window. To the right of the arch are two doorways with timber panelled doors in moulded wooden frames, alongside matching hornless 6-over-6 sash windows. The first floor features four smaller but matching 6-over-6 sash windows. Return wall casement windows with glazing bars are visible on the wall of the archway. The rear elevation has been remodelled. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
