Description

The Greyhound Public House is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Wivenhoe High Street. It is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond and features two storeys with a hipped slated roof and a red brick chimney stack. The first storey has a range of three hornless sash windows, and there is a semi-hexagonal bay window at the south. At the north end, there is a projecting wooden bar front with two doors and windows in between, leading up to the main entrance door at the south. Inside, the pub contains a 17th-century timber frame along with a central chimney breast and hearth.
