Description

70 High Street is a building dating from around 1800. It is two storeys high with a ridged, gabled roof that is slated, and features two chimneys on the rear slope. The ground floor has a central door made up of six deeply fielded panels, which is set within matching reveals, pilasters, and a flat hood; the exterior is finished in stucco. The building has rusticated quoins on both the left and right sides. On either side of the door, there are two pairs of small-paned sash windows that have thin bars and no horns, with exposed boxes. The first storey also features matching sashes, but there is a blank central space between them.
