Description
This property comprises two buildings, numbers 117 and 118, on High Street. The buildings likely incorporate elements from the 16th century, with later alterations and a modern facade. Number 117 has a cement-rendered front and a modern shop front on the ground floor, featuring four modern sash windows with glazing bars, and two modern box dormers in the attic. Number 118 displays a painted brick facade with an eaves dentil cornice and a shaped cornice below the parapet, a modern shop front, two 19th-century sash windows above, and a central chimney stack. A small brick wing with a hipped roof extends from the rear. The buildings are part of a group including the George Hotel.
