Description
The Gables is a 17th-century building with later alterations and additions. It has two storeys and attics, constructed with timber framing and plaster, and features tiled roofs. The gable is located at the west end, with a projecting upper storey on this front. The south side includes an 18th-century doorcase with a flat hood, scroll brackets, and a fanlight, along with double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in cased frames from the 18th century. The Gables is part of a group that includes Nos 7 to 16 (consecutive) and the Stockwell Congregational Chapel.
